Zara lace a la Kate

I was out Christmas shopping today - fighting the crowds, what a nightmare - and I popped into Zara quickly to see if Kate's dress (the one she wore to the concert this week, see here) was still available. I only found the skirt first. I tried it on - it fits nicely, although I might have it shortened a bit, and the lace is really pretty.

(Update: I forgot to mention that it has an elasticated waistband! This could be the perfect skirt for Christmas, then!)

I also got this top - the colour is sort of nude / dusty rose. Not necessarily to go with the skirt, although in the shops it looked like it matched the skirt (now I see that the skirt is black and white, not black and nude-rose). Do you think a black top would look better with the skirt?

I did pop into another Zara later and found the dress... but I didn't like it. It didn't suit me and I think the skirt is much nicer.
